Thinking Blogger Award

My buddy Christopher at From the Left tagged me with a Thinking Blogger Award for which I am extremely grateful. It was totally expected and had made me giddy as a teen-aged girl at a Justin Timberlake concert. From the Left is a blog that read daily to keep up with what’s really going on. Yay me! And, an even bigger yay! to Christopher for being so kind.

I really love the idea behind the Thinking Blogger Award which helps to spotlight really interesting stuff that we may not otherwise come across.

Here are the rules of the Thinking Blogger Award:

1. If, and only if you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.

2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.

3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).

I admit that I have blog ADD and that my interests and tastes are all over the map. My list skews a little gay, but its some seriously good stuff.

1. Angry Black Bitch – She has elevated the art of bitchitude to a level of commentary that is both incredibly funny and politically on target.

2. Blabbeando – Andres covers the Latino LGBT community in the U.S. and abroad with humor, warmth and passion.

3. BlogActive – Mike was recently featured in a story on Yahoo News with the question “D.C.’s Most Feared Man?” That’s not because he’s a mean person. Its because he is doing the Lord’s work and holding anti-gay closeted politicians’ feet to the fire.

4. InterstateQ – Matt is young, smart and part of a new wave of activists spinning news ways to fight for LGBT equality.

5. Jockohomo – Jockohomo is indeed strung out on jargon and design, art, men and music. Not your typical gay blog.
