Where Are They Now?: Iraq War Edition

You are probably wondering what happened to group of neocons that lied and schemed to get us into war with Iraq and then mucked up that war. Wonder no longer. The folks at Think Progress have answered you questions in the kind of detail that the mainstream media only reserves for Lindsay, Paris and Brittany.

In a post called The Architects of War: Were Are They Now? let’s you know what all of your favorite warmongers are up to these days including Paul Wolfowitz who screwed up two high profile political appointments to land safely at the American Enterprise Institute, Donald Rumsfeld who is pimping his memoir in hopes of getting a large cash advance and Scooter Libby who was found guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice for his role in the CIA leak case, but who won’t spend a day in prison.

Yup, these patriotic Americans with great bluster and cluelessness led us into a war that is being fought by other people’s kids. And, when our troops return home with bodies and minds shattered and in more than 3,500 cases in body bags, they are dismissed as the causalities of war.

And that’s what the Bush administration refers to as “shared sacrifice.”
