Amicus as a good history of federal hate crimes legislation to protect the LGBT community over at Bootstrapping Andrew Sullivan.

Amicus runs a tight ship full of well-researched and provocative posts.

And, anyone who mentions “bootstrapping” and “Andrew Sullivan” in the same sentence is a friend of mine.
