Gays to U.N.: Break the Silence

Two gay activists took on the United Nations and its silence over the increasing violence against LGBT people across the globe. Michael Petrelis and Hank Wilson crashed a speech by UN Secretary-General shouting “Break the silence. Talk about gays!”

The UN has been notoriously silent on LGBT issues and only recently voted to accredit two LGBT organizations.

    We also need to pressure the U.S. government to make interntional gay rights a part of its foreign policy efforts.
