Another Hypocrite Busted

Yet another Christian conservative has been found to be a part of the “do as I say, not as I do” school of moral hypocrisy.

Tommy Tester, a Baptist minister from Virginia, was arrested while wearing a skirt after allegedly relieving himself in front of children. He is also charged with offering a police officer oral sex. An open bottle of vodka and an empty bottle of oxycodone was found in Tester’s car when he was arrested.

    Wow. I would say that’s a trifecta, but really it’s more of a ten-fecta — and that’s not as catchy. 😦

Sadly, from now on the idiots in that area will point to him as an example of how “gays corrupt” otherwise “normal” people. I’m even thinking that there will be some sort of comeback for the minister revolving around that idea. It’s great marketing, and the asshole may even get some sort of “christian” book deal out of the whole mess. I say “christian” because real Christians would not be drunk and pissing in front of kids. Plus actual followers of Christ’s teachings believe that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, a stark contrast to southern Baptist teachings. (Sorry for the tangent)

Griffin, thanks for the compliment. Maybe the minister will be sent to the camp that “cured” Ted Haggard in three weeks.

    Yikes.

I’m afraid to say it’s often true that God’s people are His worst press.
