McCain Campaign Releases Interrogation Video

Senator John McCain has released a new campaign video that spotlights his military service during the Vietnam War including the time he spent as a prisoner in a North Vietnamese prison. It is a powerful video that features footage of McCain being interrogated by enemy soldiers, interviews with McCain and those who served with him.

I am not a supporter of McCain’s campaign for the presidency, but I do have respect for his military service. Watching this video though, makes his unwavering support for the war in Iraq seem all the more questionable. Still, the making of this video was a smart move by the campaign. I don’t think that it will have the impact that they are hoping for because he has too many things going against him at this point, including faltering fundraising, staff departures and sagging poll numbers.

The campaign will be using the video to introduce McCain at upcoming events.
