House Vote on ENDA Expected This Week

As early as Wednesday the House of Representative vote on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act as well as an amendment by Rep. Tammy Baldwin that would restore gender identity protections to the bill. The sexual orientation only version of the bill passed the House Education and Labor Committee last week by a vote of 27-21.

LGBT organizations are working hard to generate calls, emails and visit with targeted members of Congress to shift enough votes to pass Rep. Baldwin’s amendment and to get an amended ENDA through the House.
