Gays Should Be Hanged says Iranian Minister

Gay teens hanged in Iran in 2005

In an admission that shows just how barbaric Iranian political leaders are Mohsen Yahyavi, a high ranking Iranian official told British officials at a peace conference that gays and lesbians deserve to be to executed. Yahyavi is the highest-ranked politician to admit that Iran believes in the death penalty for homosexuality after a spate of reports that gay youths were being hanged.

From the Times of London:

Under the Freedom of Information Act, the FCO released papers to The Times about the death penalty being used in Iran for homosexuality, adultery and sex outside marriage.

Minutes taken by an official describe a meeting between British and Iranian MPs at the Inter-Parliamentary Union, a peace body, in May. When the Britons raised the hangings of Asqari and Marhouni, the leader of the Iranian delegation, Mr Yahyavi, a member of his parliament’s energy committee, was unflinching. He “explained that according to Islam gays and lesbianism were
not permitted”, the record states. “He said that if homosexual activity is in private there is no problem, but those in overt activity should be executed [he initially said tortured but changed it to executed]. He arguedthat homosexuality is against human nature and that humans are here to reproduce. Homosexuals do not reproduce.”

Nicole Pichet, a researcher who also took notes of the gathering, told The Times that the discussion began with British MPs discussing the underage gay hangings. Mr Yahyavi responded by saying homosexuality was to blame for a lot of diseases such as Aids.

The 2005 execution of gay teenagers Mahmoud Asqari and Ayad Marhouni drew international outrage at the Iranian practice of killing gay and lesbian people. Yahyavi did not deny that Asqari and Marhouni were hanged because they were gay as some have by claiming that they were rapists. He instead defended the killings.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was left at a speech at Columbia University earlier this year when he claimed that there were no gays in Iran. Mr. Ahmadinejad, that’s because you are doing your best to kill them all.

We kill each other because we think it pleases God. We kill each other over whom we choose to share our beds. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but it seems to me that we had better stop wasting each other over such utter crap and start getting together to solve some of the looming issues we all face as a species. For instance, the fact that at some point, there will be too many people for this planet to support us all and then what? I just can’t help but think we are all like castaways on a lifeboat arguing about what song to sing in the morning and what side of the boat is closer to land and getting so angry about it that we throw the last of the food at each other instead of eating it. The people we kill, willy-nilly could possibly be taking with them answers to our impending doom and we will never know it. And, in the long run, who will care that our species disappears? We are all in this together and we had better wise up or we will become as extinct as the dinosaurs. By the way, I’m a straight white male…(not that there’s anything wrong with that…)

I am stunned. When i saw this article and more specifically the horrific picture that comes with it i just sat there and couldn’t believe my eyes.

It always seems it’s the most heartless people who have the power to do what they like and they don’t care about other people’s views. And the sad thing is nothin can be done about it coz it’s not our country.

I think it’s barbaric and almost laughable at the fact that Mr.Yahyavi said it’s against human nature to be gay or lesbian. Since when was it human nature to hang someone for there sexual orientation, it’s nobody’s business other than the individual!!! If you hadn’t already realised I am outraged at these hangings and the Iranian attitude as a whole.

I hope any Iranian officials who think gays and lesbians should be hanged suffer a slow, horrific death.(And i’m not a violent person, honest)

And as it seems to have become the norm from reading the last few comments, i’m gay btw, and won’t EVER be going on holiday to Iran!

tried repenting for being gay i prayed every night and tried to be the best person i could, and i let my older brother verbally and physically abuse me for it for years as a child. didnt work, i didnt change bit, all it did was help me hide it and feel depressed and suicidal. and you say it like we all have anal sex, im a virgin and im staying a virgin. the site of a vagina turns me off so no i cannot have sex with a woman (not saying i hate women, vagina’s just look disgusting), and if you were christian you’d know sex has to be in marriage and with strong emotions of love and trust between to people, not just blind thrusting. Not only that, but i can’t just turn straight in the blink of an eye, if i did i would done it when i was 3, hell I even tried to force myself to crush on girls, but i couldn’t develop any feelings or sexual attraction.

The focus should not be on whether or not these CHILDREN were homosexual by thought, word, or deed, or gossip. The focus should be on the fact Iran executes children. Iran’s laws condone the torture of children and women and men. Teens are children. Their sexual oritentation is not our concern. Our concern should focus on the fact Iran is hurting our world’s children. This is evil. Iran I read holds girl children accountable for so-called crimes at age 9.

I am not gay — but I believe no one from any country should ever bash or punish in any form a human being simply because of his or her sexuality. Homosexuality is something frowned on in many religions — but murder of innocence is worse. One’s sexuality is a private thing. If Iran truly bellieved homosexuality was a sin — then it would re-direct the youth who they believe are homosexual. Why would any government commit a crime against humanity in order to prevent so-called sex crimes. The roots of Iran’s laws has more to do with inflated egos than it has to do with so-called justice. The teens who were tortured represent those children who are legally abused and killed. Iran’s government murdered these CHILDREN, used them to create fear in their masses and justifies their actions with truly ignorant ideas.

Nobody should be surprised about this at all. Iran is a theocracy, a nation built upon its religion. Homosexuality is against the state religion and is punishable by death. Western people view this as backward and foreign because to us, it is. I find it refreshing that some nations are still governed by holy principles.

Come on people please grow up whatever religion it s often bullshit i believe in god but not the bible or coran for example in the bibel it s written you shouldn t eat shell fish now tell me who doesn t do that you should never lie and help the other and further on also that the world is like a platform and the sun is turning around the earth everything was a lie. i respect all other thaughts also the ones who are agains homosexuality but then you have to give real argumenst !!! Some say it s not normal well let me tell you you find it in the animal life too especially rabbits and gots. if god didn t want gays and lesbians why doesnt he takes it away from his great work. everybody says he has the greatest power. People say it s not common well a studi showed that aboutt 91 % of the world is at least bisexual and if you have a redhadded person who isnt very common would you kill her ???
Now about sex , they say it s disgussting to have anal sex well nowadays hetero people like to do it too. I see it like this gays, lesbians ….. have already a hard life just because people say it s not good they have to tell their parents and feel sorry feel ashamed. they can t live their lives properly can t enjoy without looking behind their back if theres anybody looking.
PRAYERS FOR BOBBY a book which is a true story about a boy which parents were very religious and tolded him everyday it was a sin being gay that he was a piece of shit he killed himself just because he fought being a mistake ! after the mother got mad because she thought she had killed her beloved son by her egoistic actions.
How would you feel if it was you ? Let s turn it round, heterosexuals are not normal homosexuals are and please dont say something just think about it one minute. Thanks

This gay novel has pretty extreme views about religion and being gay all done in a sci-fi style sory, the writer was even almost killed when this book was first published. After being banned in his own country it is now available.
check the plot – As predicted by Isaac Newton the second coming happened and as the world waited to see what was about to happen an appointed man was sent to meet God, hours later God had vanished and the man came out immortal; no apocalypse, no destruction and no salvation. This gave birth to a chain of holy wars that almost chattered Earth’s civilizations and so giving birth to a mass colonization of planets to ensure peace by separation. Thousands of years later all was at peace by until Endings were born; humans connected to their planets in such a way that they are capable of destroying them should they wish it. Now Earth’s Ending has been born and the day to pass judgment draws near.

About the execution, that is pure barbarism. You don’t have to kill them. Just show them the way in a loving manner. Pray for their complete repentance and you also repent from your hatred.
