Four Gay Candidates Advance in Texas

March 5, 2008 at 11:01 am 1 comment

While the majority of the traditional media was focused on the presidential primaries, there was some great gay news that came out of my home state of Texas yesterday. Four openly gay candidates for elected office advanced to a general election or runoff.

Of course, the super smart gays at the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund had a hand in the matter by endorsing each of the four candidates. You can find out more at the Victory Fund’s blog Gay Politics.

Good to see great gay news from the Lone Star State. I moved from Dallas to Philly 12 years ago (for a girl)…still miss accents and Mexican food. We have to wait until April 22nd for our primary. Thanks for the post.
