Clinton Launches Right-Wing Attack on Obama

Hillary Clinton may be running for the Democratic presidential nomination, but she shown a real willingness to use Republican style talking points against frontrunner Barack Obama. Here is a recent attempt by Clinton to cynically distort Obama’s statement on the frustration felt by working class Americans.

Sen. Obama’s remarks are elitist, and they are out of touch. The people of faith I know don’t ‘cling to’ religion because they’re bitter … I also disagree with Sen. Obama’s assertion that people in this country ‘cling to guns’ and have certain attitudes about immigration or trade simply out of frustration. People of all walks of life hunt — and they enjoy doing so because it’s an important part of their life, not because they are bitter.

You got to love that Clinton who with her husband Bill have amassed a fortune estimated at more than $100 million dollars is referring to Obama as “elitist.”

Now compare Clinton’s remarks with those made by Steve Schmidt, senior advisor for John McCain:

It shows an elitism and condescension towards hardworking Americans that is nothing short of breathtaking. It is hard to imagine someone running for president who is more out of touch with average Americans.

With every baldy cynical statement parroting GOP talking points and providing messaging points for attack ads against Obama, Clinton is showing that she is willing to do anything even help to destroy the Democratic frontrunner in her never-ending quest for political power.

It is no surprise that a militant, Christian fundamentalist like Hillary Clinton would spew rightist garbage. She is a Republican posing as a Democrat.

Elitist. Yeah, we wouldn’t want to have a President that’s smarter than a fifth-grader, now, would we…

I love the idea that a biracial man raised by a single mom who barely just finished off paying his student loans is called elitist and out of touch. And I also love the way both Hillary and McCain use the word “San Francisco” as if it si some epithet. To think I used to like the Clintons – the longer this nomination process goes on, the longer I truly and actively despise them….
