Obama Brushes Clinton Dirt Off His Shoulder

April 18, 2008 at 6:29 am 7 comments

Hillary Clinton has tried her damnedest to tar and feather Barack Obama with Karl Rove-like smears. But Barack just ain’t having it.

After the appalling ABC debate on Wednesday in which it seemed that Clinton, George Stephanoupolis and Charles Gibson were in a tag team effort to catch Barack in on of those “gotcha” moments that that cynics love so much, Barack reminded his supporters that sometimes you just gotta brush that dirt off your shoulders.

Anyone familiar with Jay-Z’s classic song Dirt Off Your Shoulder will know exactly what he means.

Now, in the new school of politics where grassroots energy and involvement trumps top down high priced consultants like Clinton strategist Mark Penn, Bill3948 created this mashup of Jay-Z songs, Clinton attacks and Barack’s response.

I’m appaled that you, Michael, would post something like this and make it look so sweet and grass-roots wonderful. I find Obama’s gesture very sexist. It may sounds cool to you, but it is rooted in ignorance and only shows that Obama is playing the same game of politics that he accuses others of playing.

I strongly disagree with that the gesture was rooted in ignorance or sexism.

Now that it is clear that Clinton has no chance of winning the nomination all that her supporters can do is cry sexism. Obama ran a much better campaign than Clinton, that among other reasons, is why he is winning.

I also find it interesting that you and others who are calling Obama sexist have nothing to say about the Clinton campaign repeatedly playing the race card to scare white voters from voting for Obama.

And if you want to talk about politics as usual, let’s talk about the Clinton supporter who tried to bribe the Young Democrat leaders who are superdelegates into casting their lot with Clinton. That is the kind of disgusting thing that we would expect from a Republican not a Democrat.

No doubts Mr. Obama will be the first minority to become a President of United State. It’s time for a change. I predict California, Texas, Florida, New york, and Colorado would be an easy win for Mr. Obama and 90 % of the minorities will be supporting him in this November Election.
